Terms of Service

Last updated: June 12, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully before using DocuPDF. By accessing or using our service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use DocuPDF.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using DocuPDF (whether through email and password or Google Sign-In), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Together, they form the agreement between you and DocuPDF.

If you're using DocuPDF on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to agree to these Terms on their behalf.

2. Service Description

DocuPDF is an AI-powered PDF processing platform. Our tools cover everything from merging, splitting, and compressing PDFs to OCR text extraction, format conversion (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images), watermarking, translation, and AI-powered document analysis.

We offer three plans: Free, Standard, and Premium, each with their own usage limits and features. You can find the full details on our Pricing page.

3. Accounts and Authentication

3.1 Account Registration

You can create an account using an email address and password, or sign in with Google via OAuth 2.0. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.

3.2 Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, your DocuPDF account will be linked to your Google email address. You won't be able to log in with a password for that account. You can revoke DocuPDF's access anytime through your Google Account settings. We only receive basic profile info (name, email, profile picture) and nothing else from your Google account.

3.3 Account Rules

  • Provide accurate information when signing up.
  • You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to create an account.
  • Please don't create multiple accounts without our written permission.
  • Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Permitted and Prohibited Uses

4.1 What You Can Do

You can use DocuPDF for personal, educational, or commercial PDF work, as long as it's lawful and within the limits of your plan.

4.2 What You Cannot Do

Please don't use DocuPDF to:

  • Process documents containing illegal content (including content that violates third-party rights)
  • Break any applicable local, national, or international law
  • Upload malware, viruses, or other malicious files
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or try to extract source code from our platform
  • Use bots or scripts to bypass usage limits or rate limiting
  • Resell or redistribute our service without written authorization from us
  • Try to access our systems, databases, or other user accounts without permission
  • Do anything that could overload or impair our infrastructure
  • Get around security features, plan limits, or access controls

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

DocuPDF offers Free, Standard, and Premium plans. Paid plans are billed as shown on the Pricing page when you subscribe.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel beforehand.
  • You can cancel anytime; your plan stays active until the end of that billing period.
  • We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before changing prices.
  • Refund requests are handled under our Refund Policy.

6. Your Content and Files

6.1 You Own Your Files

Your documents belong to you. When you upload a file, you give DocuPDF a limited, temporary license to process it for the specific task you've requested. Nothing more.

6.2 File Deletion

Files are processed on our servers and deleted automatically once the task is done. We don't store, read, or share the contents of your documents. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

6.3 Your Responsibility

It's your responsibility to make sure you have the right to upload and process any document. Your files should not infringe anyone's intellectual property rights or contain illegal content.

7. Intellectual Property

DocuPDF's platform, software, design, branding, and documentation belong to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or use any part of our service or underlying software without permission.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information, including any data received through Google Sign-In. It applies to your use of DocuPDF alongside these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services

DocuPDF works with a few third-party services to power different parts of the platform: Google OAuth for authentication, Cloudflare Turnstile for bot detection, Stripe and Razorpay for payments, and Resend for email delivery. Each of these has its own terms and privacy policies, and we're not responsible for how they operate.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

DocuPDF is provided as-is and as-available. We don't make promises about uninterrupted access, error-free processing, or specific results from using our tools. While we work hard to keep things running smoothly, we can't guarantee it at all times.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, DocuPDF won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits, or business disruption, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to your use of DocuPDF won't exceed what you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is higher.

12. Indemnification

You agree to protect DocuPDF and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) that arise from your use of the service, a violation of these Terms, infringement of someone else's rights, or content you've uploaded.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive activity. We'll try to give you notice when possible, but we reserve the right to act immediately if the situation calls for it.

Once your account is terminated, you lose access to the service right away. Provisions that should naturally survive termination (like intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and liability limits) will continue to apply.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law. If a dispute comes up, we'd prefer to resolve it through binding arbitration. If arbitration isn't an option, disputes will be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make meaningful changes, we'll let you know at least 14 days in advance via email or a notice on our website. If you keep using DocuPDF after the changes go into effect, that means you're okay with them.
